We can not solve our problems with the same thinking that created them

Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT)

Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) is an evidence-based therapeutic approach that concentrates on finding solutions and fostering positive change in the present as opposed to dwelling on problems and their causes.

Solution-Focused Therapy accentuates the strengths and resources of clients in order to help them identify and work towards their desired outcomes. Solution-Focused Therapy is especially effective for treating a wide variety of psychological issues, including relationship issues, anxiety, depression, depression, and trauma. Individuals are able to clarify their goals, build on their existing strengths, and develop strategies to surmount obstacles as a result of the therapy.

Depending on the specific requirements and dynamics of the clients, Solution-Focused Therapy can be practiced as individual therapy, couples therapy, or family therapy. The therapist and client work collaboratively to determine the client’s desired future, establish specific and attainable objectives, and identify the client’s resources and strengths that can be utilized to achieve these goals.

In Solution-Focused Therapy, the therapeutic process begins by focusing on the client’s intended outcomes and their vision for a better future. The therapist employs a variety of techniques, such as scaling questions (on a scale of 1 to 10), miracle questions, (how would you feel if all issues were addressed), and exception-seeking questions (identifying when times were different and why?), to assist clients in exploring their preferred future, identifying periods when their problems were less severe or absent.

The therapy focuses on investigating solutions as opposed to analyzing problems, which frequently facilitates faster progress and positive change. The therapist and client evaluate progress and modify treatment objectives as necessary.
